More Cube Threats

As it turns out, Dr. Cube was not very happy to learn that new champ Call-Me-Kevin had granted The Grudyin a shot at the Kaiju Championship Belt at New York Blackout. "Who does that nautical nincompoop think he is? By comparing his lowly existence to that of my most fearsome creation, The Grudyin, he has insulted me." Now, in addition to worrying about the Grudyin's flesh-tearing jowl and pointed peritoneum, Call-Me-Kevin must also deal with the evil Dr. Cube and his Posse of biological mish-mashes. While Kevin thought he was supporting the Big Battel's downtrodden by selecting the Grud as his opponent, his good intentions have backfired and now he is in for the fight of his life.

Dino Match Concept?

The latest entry in the ongoing #1 contender match concept contest was so mind-blowing that the The KRC wasn't exactly sure what Dino Kang Jr. had in mind when he had his supporter Monstermaniac submit the match concept entitled "Big Mountain - Baby Sky Deviler I Love Your Way" (see above). Entrant #2 in the Contenders Contest is... well, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Sorry Kids

Kaiju fans of all ages are looking forward to the upcoming New York Blackout, but a recent decision by the Kaiju Regulatory Commission (KRC) has left Kaiju fans under the age of 16 feeling a little left out. Due to the mystery surrounding the Kaiju Commissioner's revolutionary "Black Box" initiative, the Battel's Kaiju Danger has been raised to code Papaya Whip (highest alert). As such, the KRC feels that this maximum security event is no place for children. In case you are under the age limit, you can still borrow your mom's credit card and buy a limited-edition hand-screened event poster.

Uni Pumped

At the end of a truly montage-worthy workout session, an exhausted-but-determined Unibouzu spoke to reporters yesterday and laid down the gauntlet. "I'm challenging any and every monster in Kaiju Big Battel or beyond. Hero, Rogue, Space Bug, Minion, or Cloverfield monster, it doesn't matter. I'll beat 'em all."

Since their partner Call-Me-Kevin miraculously captured the Kaiju Championship Belt at the last Battel, Sea Amigos Unibouzu and D.W. Cycloptopuss III have been in rigorous training leading up to New York Blackout. Just last week, the two were photographed racing each other along a beach and awkwardly hugging and celebrating afterward. While some speculate that CMK's ascension would break the group apart, Unibouzu thinks things are going just swimmingly. "I hope Call-Me-Kevin stays Kaiju Grand Champion. They're just going to have to create a bigger, better belt when its obvious that no one can compete with me. A Kaiju Mega Championship, perhaps."

Tandem Title Update

After losing a golden opportunity to capture the Kaiju Championship Belt at More Better Fighto and being passed over for a rematch at the upcoming New York Blackout, Swarm leader Uchu Chu has decided to set his sights on the Double Danger Tandem Titles. He certainly has no shortage of partners to choose from, but narrowing it down to one may be just as hard as beating Heroes American Beetle and Neo Teppen for the titles. Uchu could make history and become the first Father and Baby-Mama Tandem Champions with Mung Wun. He could also go with the size advantage of Dai Hachi Hachi or Mota Naru, and there's always his college drinking buddy Yarsminko. Stay tuned!
